Right Heart Catheterization
Know About Treatment
Right Heart Catheterization (also known as pulmonary artery catheterization) is a medical procedure used to measure the pressures within the right side of the heart (right atrium, right ventricle) and the pulmonary arteries, as well as to assess the heart’s pumping ability and oxygen levels in the blood. It is often performed in patients with heart failure, lung disease, or other conditions affecting the heart and pulmonary circulation.
