Lumber / Cervical Discectomy

Lumbar or cervical discectomy is a surgical procedure aimed at removing a herniated or damaged disc in the lumbar (lower back) or cervical (neck) spine. The disc, which is located between two vertebrae, acts as a cushion, but when it becomes damaged or ruptured, it can press on surrounding nerves, causing pain, numbness, weakness, or other neurological symptoms. Discectomy involves the removal of the problematic part of the disc to alleviate these symptoms.
