Duodenoscopy

Know Your Surgery
Duodenoscopy is a diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedure that allows doctors to examine the first part of the small intestine (the duodenum), along with the stomach and esophagus. It uses a specialized instrument called a duodenoscope, which is a thin, flexible tube with a camera and light at its tip, providing real-time visualization of the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract.
