Cystic Fibrosis

Know About Treatment
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system, causing severe chronic respiratory and digestive problems. It leads to the production of thick, sticky mucus that can clog the airways and lead to lung infections, digestive issues, and other complications. CF is inherited and is caused by mutations in the CFTR gene (Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator), which is responsible for regulating salt and water movement in and out of cells.
