As part of this special initiative, Senior Citizens were taken on a guided tour of South Kolkata’s most iconic puja pandals. The journey was ceremonially flagged off from Desun Hospital and covered Bosepukur Sitala Mandir, Hindustan Park, Ballygunge Cultural Association, Samajsebi Sangha, and Rajdanga Naba Uday Sangha. To ensure complete safety and comfort, participants will be accompanied by a medical team and an ambulance throughout the route.
The festivities will conclude with a felicitation ceremony at Rajdanga Naba Uday Sangha, honouring the senior participants for their resilience, wisdom, and invaluable contributions to society. The programme was graced by Smt. Bidisha Kalita Dasgupta, IPS, Deputy Commissioner (South Suburban Division), Kolkata Police, as the Chief Guest, along with the Officers-in-Charge of Kasba Police Station, Kasba Traffic Guard, and Gariahat Police Station.
