DVR is necessary when both the mitral and aortic valves are severely diseased and cannot be repaired. Common reasons include:
Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD)
Infective Endocarditis (valve infection)
Congenital Valve Defects (present from birth)
Degenerative Valve Disease (age-related damage)
Severe Valvular Stenosis or Regurgitation
