ORIF Calcaneum
Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) of the calcaneum (heel bone) is a surgical procedure used to treat fractures of the calcaneus, which is the largest bone in the foot and forms the heel. The calcaneus is prone to fractures due to high-energy trauma, such as falls from a height or motor vehicle accidents, or from direct impacts to the heel.
