Myelofibrosis with myeloid metaplasia

Know Your Treatment
Myelofibrosis with Myeloid Metaplasia (MMM), also known simply as Myelofibrosis, is a type of bone marrow disorder characterized by the abnormal production of fibrous tissue in the bone marrow. This fibrotic tissue replaces normal bone marrow cells, leading to the production of fewer healthy blood cells and causing a range of symptoms due to ineffective haematopoiesis (the production of blood cells). It is classified as a type of myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN), which are conditions where blood cells are produced in an uncontrolled or abnormal manner.
