Monoclonal gammopathies of undetermined significance
Know Your Treatment
Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance (MGUS) is a condition where an abnormal protein called monoclonal immunoglobulin or monoclonal protein (M-protein) is found in the blood. This protein is produced by an abnormal clone of plasma cells (a type of white blood cell). MGUS is typically a benign or non-cancerous condition, but it is important because it can sometimes progress to more serious diseases such as multiple myeloma or lymphoma.
