Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Insertion

Know About Treatment
Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Insertion is a medical procedure used to support heart function in patients with severe heart conditions, particularly those experiencing heart failure, cardiogenic shock, or after major heart surgeries like coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) or heart valve surgery. IABP improves the heart ability to pump blood by temporarily enhancing coronary artery blood flow thereby reducing the workload on the heart.
