Glomerular disease (glomerulonephritis)

Know Your Surgery
Glomerular Disease (Glomerulonephritis) refers to a group of conditions that cause inflammation and damage to the glomeruli, the tiny filtering units in the kidneys. The glomeruli filter waste and excess fluid from the blood, and when they become damaged, it impairs the kidneys’ ability to remove waste products, leading to kidney dysfunction. Glomerulonephritis can be acute or chronic and can affect one or both kidneys.
