BURR Hole

A burr hole is a small hole drilled into the skull, typically used to access the brain for various medical conditions. The procedure is commonly performed when there is a need to release pressure from the brain, drain fluid, or remove blood (such as in cases of a hematoma). Burr hole surgery is considered a minimally invasive procedure and is often used as a preliminary step before more extensive surgeries like a craniotomy.
