Bartholin Cyst

A Bartholin cyst is a fluid-filled swelling that develops when the Bartholin glands, located on either side of the vaginal opening, become blocked. These glands produce lubricating fluid for the vagina. When a duct becomes obstructed, the fluid backs up, leading to a cyst.
