Covid-19 poses more threat to senior citizens

Older adults are much more likely to get affected from Covid-19 than others. For older adults getting sick with Covid-19 might mean hospitalization, intensive care, ventilator or even death. The risk increases for people in their 50s or above are most likely to get very sick.

Elderly people succumb more in the hand of Coronavirus. To save the aged population from becoming a prey for Coronavirus one should be more attentive to their health. In some cases, symptoms can escalate quickly to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), this needs urgent medical treatment.

· Stay home as much as possible, don’t venture out until it is extremely important, the less you come in contact, the better.
· Wear a mask while in public, maintain at least a gap of 6feet with other people.
· Use a 60% alcohol based sanitizer to wash your hands and all other touchable surfaces as frequently as you can.
· Don’t fall for the ruse of rumours, get vaccinated as early as possible. Vaccination is our most potent weapon in this battle.
