IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES FOR PATIENTS / PATIENTS' RELATIVES

  1. Visiting Hours
  1. Ward / Private / : Morning -10:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m. Evening - 5:30p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (only 2 persons will be allowed at a time) against Visiting Card issued by the hospital at the time of admission.
  2. ICU / ITU :Only 1 Visitor, preferably family member, will be allowed between 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., for 5 minutes in ICU / ITU & between 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in CTVS-ITU, against Permanent Visitor’s Pass issued by the hospital from Admission Counter at the time of admission.
  2. Advance Deposit

For Emergency / Accident cases patients may be admitted for treatment without any advance deposit.
Under such cases the deposit stated below is to be made within 24 hours of admission.

  1. General Ward - Rs. 15,000/-
  2. Double Room - Rs.25,000/-
  3. Single Room - Rs. 30,000/-
  4. Suite - Rs. 40,000/
  5. ICU / ITU - Rs. 40,000/-
  6. The amount deposited during admission will be adjusted against the final bill. Patients requiring operation / procedures, has to pay the estimated surgical expenditure (to be collected from MS) at least one day prior to the day of surgery.
  7. For ICU / ITU patients, relatives are required to be available 24 hours at the Hospital for buying of medicines & other emergencies. If they are unable to be present in person they will have to deposit Rs. 10,000/- in advance to PHARMACY for supply of medicines to patients.
  8. Amount will have to be deposited by the patient / patient's relative in advance, for covering the treatment expenses, at least once in every alternate day. Operation and package charges are to be paid in full before the commencement of operation / package cases.
  3. Bed Charges

Bed charges include nursing & medical officer services, linen, fooding (In ICU / ITU Oxygen and Pulseoxymeter).

 4. Food

Food will be provided by hospital only, outside food will not be allowed.

  5. Billing

Intermediate bill amount (provisional) will be available in room no 17B,C. The approximate total amount due for patient will be informed between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Detailed break-up will only be given during final billing. In case, there is any need of clarification of bill please contact the office of AMS & room no 17B, C, D

  6. Counting of days

Upto 12 noon, 1 day is counted. If the patient stays after 12 p.m. additional one day will be counted and bill will be raised accordingly.

  7. Discharge
  1. Patients will be discharged between 11 am to 12 noon and if patient is not discharged before 12 noon, additional one day will be charged.
  2. For TPA patients discharge will be after 3 p.m. subject to clearance from concerned TPA (room no 17A).

(Please note that for any discharge given on the same day, patient may be discharged only after 5 p.m. or after 4 hours from time of discharge advice and bill will include that day's bed charge).

  8. Settlement of Dues:

Transferring any patient out of the hospital premises requires settlement of all dues of the hospital from the concerned patient.

  9. DORB / LAMA

In case of discharge against risk bond (DORB) (during period 5 p.m. in evening & 10 a.m. in morning) in addition to the outstanding shown in the hospital records an additional amount not less than Rs. 10.000/-*• has to be deposited for DORB procedure to be completed before patient discharge. * This belong amount will be adjustable / refundable after the final bill.

10. Collection of Reports

Some reports may not be available when patient is discharged / released. Please contact Front Office Manager / Manager Operations to find out when those will be available for collection.
(For patients leaving between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. of next day).

11. Medicines / Drugs

These are to be purchased by the patient from our hospital pharmacy only. Medicines used in the operation theatre will be provided by the hospital.In Emergency cases, hospital may provide medicine etc. from Hospital Stock, but the patient relatives will have to buy and replenish these items within 12 hours. If patient relative wants hospital to supply medicines from its Pharmacy and patient relative cannot stay in the Hospital round the clock, an additional deposit of Rs. 10,000/- will have to be paid in advance to the pharmacy to avail this service.

12. Permission to Stay

For serious cases in ICU, maximum of 2 (two) persons (only male) may be allowed to stay in the hospital complex overnight. Please contact Front Office Manager / Night Administrator for details and collect Night Stay Arm Band from Security Office without which none will be allowed to stay at night.

13. Air-Conditioning

The management will not be responsible for failure of AC plant or any other Technical or Mechanical disorder. No claim on such account will be entertained.

14. Meeting with Doctors

In case the patient relative needs to meet the concerned doctor under whom the patient is admitted please contact ‘May I Help You Desk’.Consultanton the ground floor. For meeting with Doctors, relatives of patients will have to be present as per Doctors' preferred time.

15. Doctor's fees

Rates are displayed / available in the admission counter.

16. Estimate of Expenses

Estimate of expenses may be provided by the hospital but this will be treated as provisional and subject to variation. Provisional estimates may be provided from time to time (Pharmacy A/c to be settled seperately). To collect estimate please contact Manager (Operation) / Patient Service Manager.

17. Private sister

This facility is not available here. The hospital has provisions for providing Patient Assistant against charge of General / Executive Rs. 350/-, Semi-private 500/-, ICU / ITU Rs. 600/-, Private / Suite Rs. 700/- for 12 hours. Please contact Floor PRO / May I Help You counter for details with Application Letter.

18. Tips

No Tips should be given to any attendant of the hospital.

19. Transferring of Patient
  1. Critical care to other wards : As per Consultant's advice after clearing of all dues; contact person is Front Office PRO.
  2. Lower bed to higher bed : In post surgical cases this is allowed; provided the patient relative is willing to pay the total expense (OT charges, Investigations and allied charges) as per the higher bed category.
  3. General ward to Critical care : If patient's condition deteriorates in general ward the patient will be shifted to critical care unit on advice of consultant doctor. Patient relative will be informed about such a transfer.
20. Single Cabin

Only one relative of patient will be allowed to stay for Single Room patients, between 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. (Night Stay) against an additional payment of Rs 750/- per night. {This is inclusive of one dinner & one breakfast (next morning) & one lunch}.

21. Suite

If the patient is admitted in suite, 1 yellow card is complimentary {This is inclusive of one dinner & one breakfast (next morning) & one lunch}. If more than 1 person wants accompany the patient, 1 yellow pass can be issued against an additional payment of Rs. 975/- per night {This is inclusive of one dinner & one breakfast (next morning) & one lunch}.

23. Service Charges

12.5% Service Charges will be charged on Total Bill (Except DR+Pharmacy).

24. Personal Belongings

Management will not be responsible for any personal things of patient party of patient.

25. Mineral Water & Newspaper

Mineral Water & Newspaper will be complimentary.
